Last Chance to Get a Good Look at Mars Until 2012

On Thursday night, March 25, many people may look up at the sky and ask the question, “What’s that bright star next to the moon?”. That would be mars. Yup, mark your calendars cause on March 25 you will be able to see Mars right next to the moon. Mars will not be seen again until 2012 (unless the world ends by then). 😉

How to spot mars: Make sure the skies are clear. Mars will be the small red spot (it will be noticeable) next to the moon. I can not estimate in which hemisphere it will be seen better. One thing I can predict is that it won’t be as big as the moon. Be sure to have some sort of telescope.

Argh! I missed it! Oh well, I did see it earlier this year, as evidenced from my posting, Moon and Mars, which is showing up as a Possibly Related Post. That’s how I got here. I like a good bit of sarcasm, so I’m off to check out the rest of your site.
