Sarcastic Blogger has the insider to what the :putnam: smiley on facebook is. If you haven’t tried it yet, just go to IM, and type :putnam: and then send. You will see a small males head with black hair appear. What is this? And why did facebook make it into a smiley?

The :putnam: smiley is made by one of the creators of facebook (image left). His name is Chris Putnam (you can find him on facebook here). He is one of the high creators of facebook so he though it would be really cool to have your own smiley. I wish I was cool enough to have my own smiley on facebook. :( But unfortunately facebook will never allow this to happen. BUT THAT’S NOT ALL: facebook_main.jpg (500×191)Chris Putnam use to be the face of facebook. This image on the right shows that. The “face of facebook” was changed (or removed) but the smiley will live on forever!
